Amelia Lórien Dembowski
When our favourite songbird, Amelia Lórien Dembowski visited us from Sydney we just had to grab the opportunity to film one of her songs.
Anyone who saw our 2015 production of ‘Love’s Labour’s Lost’ will remember the smokey soulful rendition of ‘The Owl and the Cuckoo’ to close out our show. Set in our home venue of “The Singing Gallery” at McLaren Vale, Amelia reprised this song, with arrangement and uke playing by Aiken Newnhan and a dumb-show performance of the closing scene of ‘Love’s Labour’s Lost’ by our Raw Shakespeare Project actors.
This was the first partnership of cinematographer Jordan Agutter from Turn Right Productions, Producer Brittany Daw and Director Russell Slater to test out their idea for a stage/film hybrid using single-shot scenes. It is the first step of some exciting screen projects they are working on so watch this space for more videos. If you have experience in film distribution or funding and would be keen to help us with a rather exciting project, don’t be shy in getting in contact with us!
We hope you enjoy!
