Jess’s love of theatre began early and further developed in high school when she played Helena in Shakespeare’s A Midsummer Night’s Dream, followed by Laurie Dockerty in Dorothy Hewett’s This Old Man Comes Rolling Home. She went on to attend AC ARTS in Adelaide where she trained to become an actor. Since then her primary role has been as a mother, however she has continued to develop skills through actor workshops and classes particularly in Shakespeare. In 2012 she played the part of Jessica in Merchant of Venice directed by Eddie Kemp-Atrill for the UATG. Then in 2015 she
played the part of Honey in Who’s afraid of Virginia Woolf directed by Geoff Brittain for UATG, which won “Best Group” award at the Adelaide Critics Circle Awards 2015 and “Best Show Drama” at the ATG curtain call awards. In 2016 she played the role of Roberta In the Adelaide debut of David Williamson’s Don Parties On, Directed by Michael Eustace for Red Phoenix at Holden Street Theatres.
